Registration for the meetingis at 8:30 with research presentations beginning at 9:00. Berardino be on at 1:00. A business meeting will be held during lunch. The cost for the meeting and lunch is $10. The meeting only is $5. Those wanting lunch must RSVP to Howard Luloff, 952-922-5036. Three research presentations have been approved:
Born in 1969 (nice), Kyle shares his October 23 birthday with fellow chapter member Rich Arpi as well as Sam Lacy, Al Leiter, John Lackey, Jim Bunning, Vern Stephens, Ewell Blackwell, Rube Bressler, John Castino, Lena Blackburne, Kaz Matsui, Kyle Gibson, William Hulbert, Johnny Carson, Pele, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Frank Sergeant Carter Sutton, Gertrude Ederle, Weird Al Yankovic, C. Walton Lillehei, and Gummo Marx. Also new to the Halsey Hall Chapter: Carl Rogan, James Hurt, Jeff Williams, Jay Fetyko Over Labor Day weekend Emma Charlesworth-Seiler pitched two games for the Great Lakes Lightning in a tournament in Rockford, Illinois. Great Lakes, stocked with players primarily from the Midwest and which plays in tournaments across the United States, won both games Emma pitched, and she was the winning pitcher in one of them.
The next Fred Souba Hot Stove Saturday Morning, an informal breakfast gathering for the purpose of talking baseball, will be at 9:00 on November 7 at Currans, 4201 Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis. Charles Clark will host a group outing to see the Burleigh Grimes Museum in Clear Lake, Wisconsin, on Saturday, November 14. Carpools will form at 9 a.m. at the Himrich-Thornley home.
